The close of another summer leaves me deep in thought.
I marvel at the remarkable world we live in and the strange things we humans do.
Here are a few of those profound thoughts.
Do Sidewalks Grow?
You think this is a no-brainer. Of course, sidewalks do not grow. Then why is it so many of us water our sidewalks throughout the long, hot summer?
Do my neighbors know something I don’t?
Do Chain Links Have Special Powers?
I know chain links draped across an opening deter. But, does their power extend beyond that strength?
I look at this barrier and wonder ~
Why not just walk around it?
The Lock With No Key?
Perhaps these locksmiths are the greatest salesmen in the world. We should take classes from them.
How else would you explain locks on the doors of your 24/7 convenience store?
If the store never closes, why do they need a lock?
Just saying.
Labor of Love
I am in obvious need of some time off. Fortunately, here in the U.S., we have our long Labor Day weekend ahead.
- To my non-American friends, thanks for putting up with us
- For my fellow Americans, enjoy the holiday weekend
Be safe and keep watering those sidewalks. You never know. They could grow. Stranger things have happened.

Hi,
Thought provoking stuff! Have you ever wondered why they call a building a building after it is already built? And why do they call a painting a painting if it’s already painted?
Hmmm…
